HTML Development
HTML development is the process of converting a graphic design into working HTML web pages. Modern Best Practices dictates the use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create pages where presentation (style) is separated from content. The traditional approach to positioning using HTML tables is discouraged as is the use of Javascript for elements such as rollovers and drop-down menus. The CSS approach is easier to maintain, faster to load, and friendlier to search engines. At Site Tuneups, we have used CSS for our HTML layouts for the last five years, and we only offer HTML development using CSS.
Programming
Good programming can enhance the richness of the web experience with dynamic HTML pages updated with current information from a database, pages that change their presentation based on the visitor's actions, and integrated third-party systems that can greatly extend a web site's capabilities. Site Tuneups offers comprehensive custom programming with the PHP programming language, the JavaScript programming language and the MySQL Database Manager.
Content Development
In virtually all successful web site development projects, the content drives the design, which in turn dictates the extent of the programming. Content must include messaging for the site, the "story" or stories that the site is trying to tell as well as an appropriate mix of video, animation, still images and text to complete a compelling web experience.

Because we design web standard CSS-based whenever possible, our sites are optimized and search engine friendly. We can help to extend the effectiveness of site optimization by supporting keyword programs, special server modifications and other acceptable techniques for enhancing search engine effectiveness.

We help our clients register domains, setup hosting accounts and by third-party software when necessary. We'll work with our client to ensure a smooth setup and launch. hy don't we just do this for the client? Because in our many years in the business we have seen too many business owners lose control over their web sites, and too many domains lost because domain records were not updated. Glossary
Open Source Software—Software that is available for public use without compensation. Typically the source code for the software is made available, so that an individual can make changes to the program for his/her own use.
Site Architecture—The "framework" of a web site, that is the interconnection of the various web pages and elements of a site
Functional Specification—A document that describes what a system will do, not how it is designed to do it
Usability—The extent to which an interface is easy to learn, combined with the degree to which it can be remembered
Cascading Style Sheets— Style sheets are text descriptions that may be embedded in a web page or in an external file referenced by web pages. A style sheet can describe all of the presentation elements of a page, including the position of elements, style and color of text, as well as background colors and images.
